The following testing is required for Fire Sprinkler Systems (as per Australian Standards);
– Monthly standard test
– 6 monthly extended test
– 12 monthly flow test
– 5 yearly detailed test
Fire sprinkler systems are highly reliable. Sprinkler systems have been shown statistically to have a reliability in excess of 95%. Studies into the reasons for unsatisfactory sprinkler performance have shown that by far the largest cause of system failure is inadequate or no system inspection, testing and maintenance.
